German organizations ask for a political action to restrict smoking.

| Several organizations have come together with the German Physicians’ Association (Bundesärztekammer – BÄK) to form Aktionsbündnis Nichtrauchen (Action Group on Non-Smoking). The coalition aims to demand action on a political level to restrict smoking. |
On the occasion of World No-Smoking Day 2005, the BÄK is also planning to issue a publication in co-operation with the German Cancer Research Centre, Heidelberg: Dem Tabakkonsum Einhalt gebieten – Ärzte in Prävention und Therapie der Tabakabhängigkeit (Limiting Tobacco Consumption – Doctors in Prevention and Therapy of Tobacco-Dependence).
