The future will be shaped by young people, but they are confronted with tobacco from a very young age. Because of this, the European Youth forum decided to draw up an anti-smoking manifesto. More than 200 young Europeans from non-political groups and organizations met together to prepare the manifesto and outline the parameters for a non-smoking Europe.
The manifesto summarizes the current situation and the objectives to reach to stop the tobacco scourge.
The manifesto emphasizes what actions need to be taken to ensure that young Europeans are properly informed of the dangers of tobacco, that official measures are taken to protect them and that they are offered lasting, effective support.
The manifesto invites all who have an interest in the anti-smoking campaign to distribute this document widely among young Europeans.
