A new European portal for the health sector.

| The General Directorate for Health and Consumers Protection of the European Commission is developing an online portal where citizens, administrations and health specialists will be able to find and exchange health-related information from the EC, European agencies and health organisations on international, national and sub-national levels. |
This portal is to be called “Health-EU” and is an initiative taken under the EU Public Health Programme 2003-2008, adopted by the European Parliament and Council in September 2002. The objective of the portal is to create a single point of entry for professional and non-professional audiences and to establish a user-friendly link between the EC and European citizens and businesses, enabling them to find theme-structured public health and health-related information and perform transactions according to their needs, without having to find their own way within the EC administrative structure.
As the portal is currently in the development stage, an online survey
(http://mcresearch.media-consulta.com/health-eu) is available for the purposes of obtaining feedback from health experts. |
